ISMS Records is not a label that accepts all projects.There has to be a connection between the artist and the label. We need to believe in the music, and see that the artist is being true to themselves and their talents and abilities.

ISMS records has a different approach to profit when it comes to their artists. Artists can take on some of the financial risk of releasing their work. We feel that this sharing of the financial risks associated with bringing an artist to market makes the artist more appreciative of the benefits of the label and what it contributes to the partnership.. This arrangement also allows us to be more open to projects that take artistic risks.This unique approach creates a true partnership and allows the artist more freedom than with a traditional record label and gives the artist a substantially larger percent of the profits generated by the label. ISMS records is truly unique in that we help artists shepherd their own careers, we guide and direct and council and help them become financial viable.

Once a project is accepted, we work with the artists to help them develop their sound, their music, and their vision. We also work together on the accompanying marketing and publicity plans. We help implement those plans to reach sales and visibility goals. Records don't sell themselves, and most artists don't realize that the work really starts way before the CD's arrive at their doorstep. You need experienced team players on your side.

Releasing an album through ISMS records means being part of a team effort - artist and label really working together, with no secret agendas and no politics. The music industry is an industry like any other, and profits are its bottom line. We believe that those profits should be shared equally by the artist and the label while not compromising the integrity of the artist and their music.
